Breakthrough in Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Low Temperature Technology: Solving Operating Challenges in Cold Regions
For a long time, the insufficient low-temperature performance has been a major drawback of lithium iron phosphate batteries. However, the technological breakthrough in 2026 has completely changed this situation. Our factory adopts a new fluorinated hydrocarbon electrolyte technology, enabling lithium iron phosphate batteries to discharge normally at -50℃. Combined with an intelligent preheating system, the range degradation rate in northern winters is reduced to below 20%. The newly launched all-electric buses in Yingzhou, Liaoning Province, equipped with our custom PACK, successfully solved the problem of low-temperature range, and the charging frequency was reduced by 30%. At the same time, we optimized the insulation structure of the battery pack and used high-density flame-retardant insulation materials to reduce heat loss. For high-latitude overseas markets, we provide exclusive low-temperature adaptation solutions, including battery preheating control logic and BMS low-temperature algorithm adjustments, ensuring stable operation of buses in extremely cold environments and providing reliable power support for customers in regions such as Northern Europe and Canada.
