The future development prospects of the integrated photovoltaic storage and diesel cabinet
1.Island Microgrid
Case: A project on a South China island was equipped with 500kW photovoltaic power generation, 1MWh energy storage, and 200kW diesel generator. The operation time of the diesel generator was reduced from 24 hours per day to 6 hours per day.
Key points: Need to prevent salt fog corrosion (enclosure with IP54 or above), remote monitoring (satellite communication backup link).
2.Industrial and Commercial Park
Economic model: By using two charging and two discharging (taking advantage of the price difference between peak and off-peak periods), the IRR was increased to 8%-12%, and a diesel generator was used as the black start power source.
3.Remote Mining Area
Challenges: High vibration environment requires seismic design (such as suspended and fixed battery modules), and explosion-proof modification of the diesel generator (methane environment).
