I. Core Subsidy Program: 4.15 Billion Złoty Large-Scale Energy Storage Subsidy (2024-2028)

 

Number of Projects: 172 large-scale energy storage facilities (selected from 183 pre-approved projects)

Total Installed Capacity: Approximately 3,900 MW (3.9 GW)

Total Energy Storage Capacity: Approximately 14,500 MWh (14.5 GWh)

Completion Deadline: Before December 31, 2028

Equivalent Value: Enough to meet the daily electricity needs of approximately 3 million households

 

II. Subsidy Standards:

Large Enterprises: Up to 45% (Up to 100% of investment cost)

Medium Enterprises: Up to 55% (Same as above)

Small/Micro Enterprises: Up to 65% (Same as above)

 

Technical Threshold:

Minimum Scale: 2 MW power / 4 MWh Capacity

 

Grid Connection Requirements: Medium-high voltage grid connection

 

Cost-Effectiveness Rating: Tiered by cost per MWh (<800,000 PLN/MWh: 3 points; 800,000-1,500,000 PLN/MWh: 2 points; >1,500,000 PLN/MWh: 1 point)

 

Another Important Subsidy: 1 Billion Złoty Plan for Home Energy Storage (2026-2030)

 

Budget: 1 billion PLN (approximately 230 million)

 

Implementation Period: 2026-2030

 

Objective: Increase household energy self-sufficiency and stabilize the power grid

 

Subsidy Amount: Tax rebate for energy storage systems increased from US$1,660 to US$3,542

 

Related Plan: "Mój Prąd" (My Electricity) plan, with a total budget of 1.85 billion PLN, of which over 1 billion PLN is specifically allocated to energy storage facilities.
