388th Batch of New Energy Heavy-Duty Trucks Announced: Nearly 70% Are Charging Models
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently released details from the 388th batch of the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products." According to EV resources, a total of 549 new energy vehicle models were submitted in this batch, of which 195 models were heavy-duty trucks (including chassis) with a gross weight exceeding 12,000 kg. This number represents a decrease of 7 models from the 387th batch (a month-on-month decline of approximately 3.47%) and accounts for 50.26% of the 388 new energy commercial vehicles.
195 New Energy Heavy-Duty Trucks Listed
Among the 195 new energy heavy-duty trucks (including chassis), there are 34 tractors (including semi-trailer tractors), 24 dump trucks (including garbage dump trucks), 13 concrete mixer trucks, 35 cargo trucks, and 89 specialized vehicles (such as sanitation and construction vehicles).
Based on EV resources data, this batch includes 134 pure electric (non-swap) heavy-duty trucks, making up 68.72% of the total. Battery-swap heavy-duty trucks account for 13.85% (27 models), fuel cell heavy-duty trucks represent 16.41% (32 models), and plug-in hybrid heavy-duty trucks make up 1.02% (2 models).
