Lithium-Ion Battery Care Guide
The scene of the "crash" of lithium batteries: These operations directly led to the battery's failure.
Typical symptoms: Battery bulging, leakage, sudden power outage, sharp decline in battery life.
How could it suddenly stop working when it was being used properly?
The truth:
Overcharging and overdischarging: Using non-original chargers caused the voltage to get out of control, or charging only when the device automatically shut down.
Physical damage: Piercing, squeezing, or water ingress causing short circuit (for example, a pouch battery being scratched by a key).
Long-term idleness: Storing the battery fully charged or completely discharged for more than 3 months led to irreversible degradation.
Test case: One user charged the drone battery fully and then threw it in the car. The high temperature in summer caused the battery to catch fire. Another user kept an old mobile phone battery in a drawer for 2 years, and the result was that the capacity was only 10%.
Solution:
When stored for a long time, the battery charge should be maintained at around 50%.
If bulges or leakage is detected, stop using immediately to avoid contact with the electrolyte.
